About Wylie Puzzles ...
Puzzle developer
All puzzles on the Wylie Puzzles site were conceived, designed and developed by me - Ralph Wylie
Allan.
Some of the puzzle designs have been previously published across Australia - some time ago now - in
Wylie Wonders magazine (now defunct). In addition, I have developed certain other puzzles expressly
for the web.
I now maintain the Wylie Puzzles site as a retirement project. The site is a
freely
available repository of some of the many puzzles I have invented over the past 3-plus decades.
How to play
The Wylie Puzzles site features puzzles you won't find anywhere else. If you are new to this site -
fear
not!
Each of the puzzles contains instructions and a guide to play. You can also select
Guide Videos
on the website menu to watch walk-through videos of some of the puzzles.
These videos are hosted on my YouTube channel - Wylie Puzzles. The YouTube videos will open in a new
browser tab when you click the linked images.
Choose to play on paper
Note that the number puzzles 'Adder's Coil' and 'Radiant Numbers' as well as the 'Word Linx' puzzles can be played on hard copy (i.e. paper). You are welcome to play these on paper by taking a screen shot of the puzzle grid and printing this out (and multiple copying) for personal or wider non-commercial use, such as for educational or entertainment purposes. No attribution is required but reference to this website would be nice.
Privacy Policy
Select Privacy Policy on the website menu for information on the website's privacy policy. In a nutshell, the website does not collect any personal data about individual users. The site uses 'cookies' to provide a satisfying user experience - for example, to record a partly completed puzzle for further play during a later session. These cookies store only play-related data on your device via your browser and are necessary for the operation of the puzzles.
Browser support
The puzzles should work well in fairly recent versions of the major browsers.
If you are
playing
on an Apple handheld/touch device, all puzzles should work well except for the Wylie Wyndows puzzle
which currently will only work fully in Google's Chrome browser (I don't know why). The Chrome
browser
can be downloaded free from the Apple App store.
In general, if a puzzle is suboptimal in a
particular browser, you may get a better experience with a different browser.
